Just things

Well the Mystery Quilt turned out to be not to my liking,  should have known better when the directions called for Yellow and Black as part of the materials that it wasn't my cup of tea.

So I'm back to working on Edyta Sitar's Flower Garden,  all these hexie's are a pain, but I love hand work and I am running about two months behind since this is a BOM I purchased from Homestead Hearth store.

I also purchased Stonefields, and a Wedding Sampler from Homestead Hearth,  but I am just storing those BOM'S for now, since I have other items to finish.

Sarah's skulls quilt needs the backing pieced together, then I can lay it out when puppy is out to daycare and get the quilt pin basted.

I still have to finish a boirdier purse wall hanging if I can get my small machine unjammed,  so the edges tacked down, then I will use my Juki to free motion the feathers and whatever else I want on it.

Then I need to finish the Rows quilt that was a Marti Michelle BOM, it has the last four blocks to piece, rows that need to be cut, and all sewn together. Backing needs to be purchased from that shop in Pennsylvania I like, I want to say Strodders, but that's not it oh well they send me emails all the time, and they are very reasonable for 108" backings.

But every time I walk into that room I pick up hexie's and there I sit for hours.
And it's sad my little room needs to be tidying up.

Two new projects need to be boxed, but I still am buying fabric for them, yes yes I know, two more hand works are you nuts?
I believe they will be started whenever we go on the road, but that is a story to be told at a later time.

The two hand works are a blue and white Cathedral Windows,  and a red and white Nearly Insane or it might turn into a Diamonds.

And the charm packs for the Squares quilt are do to be released sometime in August,  I need to buy some red floral and then the 3 yard Bella Solids for the rest of the top. I chose Kindred Spirits f or my charm packs, they are coming from the Fat Quarter's Shop, since I generally make all my purchases from them.

Yes there is a few other shops I buy from which will be revealed as time goes by.

Long post I know but this is what happens when we go for such a long time between post.

Until next time,

Happy stitching!

Meet up Monday part 1

Oh my where did the time go, I did purchase all of my fabrics, and placed them in a bin. But now my little sewing room looks like a heavy wind went through it, too many projects needing to be finished before I can even think about starting something new.

I have Andy's quilt needing to be quilted, Sarah's quilt needing borders then quilting, I have two
BOM's going on, one is a hot piecing mess on two tables and then there is a hexie project in the process but that one doesn't take up that much room.

Now this is all going on while I have limited use of my left hand due to my MS, oh how I hate MS, But that is another posting in it's self.

Okay Bonnie I promise that I will get started cutting strips as soon as I get back from the post in the morning. Yes I did try going to the Post Office today, Ha what a joke you would have thought that half the town heard that is where I'd be today and decide they should be there to. So we skipped the Post and did odds and ends shopping at Wal Mart, two hours later and two hundred dollars lighter we headed home.

Now here I sit trying to figure out this blog thing, I am getting to old for all this tech stuff.
